False jobs are being offered to job-seekers who have an account with "Timesjob.com", "Monstergulf.com", "Naukrigulf.com"
There is a scam currently operating using the name of RAK Academy. The victims are educational professionals who have been told that their name and personal information was found on a CV database from "Timejob.com", “Naukrigulf.com” and/or "Monstergulf.com".
In the scam people are offered a job from one “Abdul-Warith Bashshar” who claims to represent RAK Academy. Advance payment is required through "Latif Jad Allah, City Lights Travel and Tourism (Dubai)" in order to be considered for employment. The email addresses being used are; "email@example.com", "firstname.lastname@example.org", "email@example.com" and "firstname.lastname@example.org" (please notice the mis-spelling of ‘Ras Al Khaimah’). The company "vinayakmanutrade.com" may also be mentioned.
"City Lights Tourism and Travel" has a fake website as well.
These emails, addresses, and job offers do not originate from RAK Academy
Genuine RAK Academy emails only come from “...@rakacademy.org”.
Ras Al Khaimah Academy does not use monstergulf.com or NaukriGulf.com as a hiring agency.
Monstergulf.com and Naukrigulf.com clients should lodge a complaint as their personal information may have been stolen.
As with any Internet scam, never send money for a work visa on the promise of employment. This practice is prohibited by law in the UAE.
We sympathize with the people who have had their lives disrupted by this criminal activity and we thank those who have stepped forward to help provide evidence. With the gathered information RAK Academy is actively protecting its interests through all available legal channels.
